<About Kintsugi Parts>
In order to create a new sustainable value, Mr. Suginaka, an urushi (Japanese lacquer) Meister, repaired the chips using Kintsugi, a unique Japanese ware repair method.
In this piece, more gold is used than in a normal Kintsugi. The contrast of blue and gold looks beautiful. Gold has the meaning of expressing Wabi-sabi while maintaining a sense of luxury and elegance in Japan.
<About the Original Vessel>
Not only famous ware and studio/workshop vessels can be used for Kintsugi.
It is a broken piece of unknown pottery purchased from a vintage store, but that's why we were able to freely apply Kintsugi to it.
<Thoughts Behind the Piece>
By applying traditional Kintsugi (metal splicing) to the vessel with Chinese character written on, we aimed to create vessels that convey the ancient Japanese aesthetic of beauty in the present.
Through imperfect beauty in Kintsugi, we hope that you will be able to live a mindful life, embracing imperfections and changes by projecting yourself deeply into this piece.
You can drink Sake while feeling the season. Why don't you spend a wonderful Sake time with one-of-a-kind Kintsugi ware?
All materials we use are natural and do not have any risks of toxicity.
The piece comes with a Paulownia box, including care advises and a certificate of origin and quality.

- After use, wash the pieces using a soft sponge and foodsafe detergent.
- Rinse them in lukewarm or cool water and completely dry them using a soft dish cloth.
- Do not soak them in hot or cold water for long periods of time. This may cause the urushi or maki-e lacquer to peel or fracture.
- The urushi (Japanese lacquer) may break or the maki-e lacquer decoration may peel off if the piece is dropped or if it collides with other hard objects. Please handle these pieces carefully.
- Do not place these pieces in the microwave or dishwasher.
