Kintsugi: Customer Support & FAQs

The Kintsugi Labo JAPAN doesn't have a regular store. However, if you can get to JR Maibara Station in Shiga Prefecture, we'll drive you to our Kintsugi artist's workshop. There you can purchase authentic Kintsugi pieces in person and enjoy a free hands-on Kintsugi experience.
If you’re only looking to purchase without the experience, we can arrange a temporary pop-up store in Kyoto upon request.
Please note that visits are by appointment only, and we require at least one week’s notice. Click here to make a reservation!

No. We offer free Kintsugi experiences only for those who purchase Kintsugi pieces in our studio.

We occasionally offer a Mastery Program for intermediate and advanced Kintsugi practitioners. Applications for the 2025 program are not yet open. Click here for more information about past programs.

Yes, we provide Kintsugi repair service! Please see our repair page.

No, we do not sell Kintsugi kits. Sorry.

No, we don't purchase Kintsugi pieces brought in by customers. Our focus is on creating and selling authentic Kintsugi pieces made by our skilled Japanese lacquer artisans.
