Product Description
<About Kintsugi Parts>
Both the inside and outside of the antique vessel, which had cracked, were repaired with authentic Kintsugi using only urushi(Japanese lacquer).
In addition, Mr. Suginaka drew a pattern of a weapon called "Shuriken" used by Japanese ninja with fine brush using Maki-e technique.
The combination of Kintsugi and black "Shuriken" makes this piece unique and playful.
<About the Original Vessel>
This is an antique vessel purchased in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture, next to Kyoto.
Shigaraki ware is famous in Japan for its tea utensils, and this vessel was supposed to be discarded due to some cracks during production.
<Thoughts Behind the Piece>
